二次备课

Step 1 Brainstorming

Students are asked to express freely what friendship is in their minds.

Friendship means my friend and I can trust each other.

Friendship means my friend and I will help and support each other.

Friendship means my friend and I will have a lot in common.

Friendship means my friend and I will readily share happiness and sadness with each other.

Step 2 Picture talking

1. Working in a group of four to talk about the pictures on page 1 and try to understand the proverb.

(1). Friends are t____________ of time.

It means that when s___________ with a good friend, we feel happy and r_____________ and almost forget the e______________ of time.

(2) The best m_______________ is an old friend.

It means that an old friend k__________ you very well. He/She can help point out your a______________ and d___________________.

(3) If you can buy a person’s friendship, it is not w___________ having.

3. Teacher provides more sayings about friends and friendship and encourages students to talk about what they can reveal about friendship by examining these sayings.

Without confidence there is no friendship. 没有信任就没有友谊

A man who has friends must show himself friendly. 要有朋友,必须以友谊待人

4. Students are encouraged to think of more such proverbs and sayings and share with each other.

Step 3 Discussion

1. Students are asked to think about the qualities of a good friend and then are invited to write their ideas on the blackboard freely.

A good friend should be:

Open-minded, reliable, friendly, helpful, cheerful, generous, hard-working, diligent, honest, polite …

2. Students are encouraged to work in a group and share with each other their ways of getting along well with friends.

Step 4 Conclusion

Students and teacher together read aloud the poem to end the lesson.

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?
I want to find the answer to the question—what is friendship?

When it rains, I think friendship is a small u_____________.

It can give me a piece of clear sky.

When I am crying, I think friendship is a white h_____________.
